About Us

    Helping People Break Into
    Tech Careers.

TechCareers.io is the premier AI product management and forward-deployed engineering program in the world — and we built it around one belief: skills, certifications, and resume templates are not enough anymore.

What you need is a community where real people are generating real interviews and real offers in real time — and coaches who understand the psychological pressure, the imposter syndrome, and the emotional weight of today's market because many of them just went through it themselves.

Our team is built from the inside out: experienced AI product managers and forward-deployed engineers, top-ranked technical recruiters who know exactly what hiring teams are actually looking for, and coaches who came through this program, landed the roles they wanted, and came back to help you do the same.

There has never been a better time to be an AI product manager or a forward-deployed engineer. The trillion-dollar opportunity is real, the roles are being created right now, and the companies building the AI economy need exactly what we train people to do.

Duru Kahyaoglu, Technical Instructor & Community Mentor

    Duru Kahyaoglu

    Technical Instructor & Community Mentor

    New York, NY

With over eight years of experience as a technical instructor inside the TechCareers community, Duru is one of the most trusted and experienced educators in the program. Based in New York City, she holds both a Bachelor of Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Columbia University — with a graduate concentration in Generative AI and Security Architecture Design, two of the most in-demand specializations in enterprise AI deployment today.

Duru's background gives her a unique ability to translate highly technical AI concepts into frameworks that candidates with a wide range of backgrounds can understand and apply immediately. She has worked with hundreds of community members across skill levels — from recent graduates navigating their first technical interviews to seasoned engineers repositioning for FDE and AI implementation roles. Her eight years inside the TechCareers ecosystem means she knows the program, the community, and the job market better than almost anyone.

For candidates who want to develop genuine technical fluency in generative AI and understand how security architecture intersects with AI deployment — Duru is an invaluable resource.

    Estevez Watson, Forward-Deployed Engineering Mentor

    Estevez Watson

    Forward-Deployed Engineering Mentor

    London, UK

Estevez brings a rare combination of technical depth, entrepreneurial experience, and elite consulting pedigree to the TechCareers community. Based in London, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Westminster and built his early career at the intersection of technology and strategy — most notably as a consultant at McKinsey, where he advised enterprise organizations on complex transformation initiatives, and as an entrepreneur in residence at Antler VC, one of the world's most active early-stage venture programs.

What makes Estevez particularly valuable as a mentor is his firsthand understanding of what companies are actually looking for when they hire forward-deployed engineers. He has sat on both sides of the table — as a builder, a strategist, and a founder — and he brings that full-stack perspective to every coaching session. For candidates navigating the transition from software engineering, consulting, or product backgrounds, Estevez offers a level of insight that is difficult to find anywhere else.

For members of the TechCareers community based in Europe or targeting European and global firms, Estevez is an especially important voice — with direct experience in the London and international tech ecosystems.

Neeraj Sujan, Senior Forward-Deployed Engineer & Mentor

    Neeraj Sujan

    Senior Forward-Deployed Engineer & Mentor

    Amsterdam, Netherlands

Neeraj is one of the most internationally experienced members of the TechCareers coaching team. Based in Amsterdam, he brings over six years of hands-on forward-deployed engineering experience — making him one of the few mentors in the program who has been doing this work since before the role became a household name in the AI industry.

He holds a Master's degree in Robotics from the Technical University of Munich — one of the top-ranked technical universities in Europe — and is fluent in four languages: English, German, Norwegian, and Dutch. That multilingual, multicultural perspective makes Neeraj particularly effective at helping candidates who are targeting international firms or navigating FDE opportunities outside of the US market.

Neeraj's specialty is the technical and implementation side of forward-deployed work — helping candidates understand what it actually means to be embedded inside an enterprise as an AI implementation specialist, and how to build the portfolio and credentials that make that transition credible and competitive.

Paola Marie Santiago, Product Management Mentor & Coach

    Paola Marie Santiago

    Product Management Mentor & Coach

    Toronto, Canada

Paola is one of the most accomplished product leaders in the TechCareers community — and one of the clearest examples of what a non-traditional background can achieve in the modern tech ecosystem. Based in Toronto, she is the CEO and founder of PS Product Person, a product coaching and advisory practice, as well as a co-founder of Curio's Builder Hub, a community-driven platform for product builders and innovators.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Queen's University and a Master of Information Systems and Design from the University of Toronto — a combination that reflects exactly the kind of cross-disciplinary thinking that the best product leaders bring to their work. Paola's path from social science to senior product leadership is itself a playbook for the kind of transition TechCareers is built to support.

Her mentorship focuses on helping candidates develop the strategic, communication, and systems-thinking skills that separate good product managers from exceptional ones — and on positioning candidates for AI PM and Agentic PM roles at the companies that are shaping the next decade of technology.

For candidates transitioning from non-technical backgrounds or looking to move from traditional PM roles into AI-first product leadership, Paola brings both the lived experience and the practical frameworks to make that transition real.

    Mercedes Milke, Forward-Deployed Engineering Mentor

    Mercedes Milke

    Forward-Deployed Engineering Mentor

    Houston, TX

Mercedes is one of TechCareers' forward-deployed engineering mentors and a standout voice in the community for candidates who are navigating the technical side of the FDE transition. Based in Houston, Texas, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Computational and Systems Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin — one of the top engineering programs in the country.

Her engineering background gives her the technical credibility to work with candidates from software engineering, data science, and systems architecture backgrounds — helping them identify how their existing skills map to FDE roles and what gaps need to be closed to become competitive. At the same time, her experience as a mentor inside TechCareers means she understands the emotional and strategic side of career transitions just as well as the technical side.

Mercedes is particularly effective with candidates who have strong engineering foundations but are uncertain about how to package and position their skills for the FDE market — and with candidates who are navigating the transition from pure technical roles into the more client-facing, implementation-focused work that defines the best FDE positions.

Kel Wu, Senior Product Manager & Mentor

    Kel Wu

    Senior Product Manager & Mentor

    San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Kel is a Senior Product Manager at Clover and one of TechCareers' most practically-grounded product management mentors. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area — the epicenter of the global product management market — he brings a front-row perspective on what the best tech companies are actually hiring for right now, and how candidates can position themselves to compete for those roles.

He holds a degree in Marketing from San Jose State University — a reminder that the most effective product leaders often come from backgrounds that emphasize customer understanding and market thinking rather than purely technical credentials. Kel's career trajectory reflects exactly the kind of commercially-minded, cross-functional product leadership that AI-first companies are increasingly prioritizing.

His mentorship focuses on the practical realities of landing PM roles in competitive markets — from building a portfolio that demonstrates product thinking, to navigating the interview process at companies ranging from early-stage startups to established technology leaders. For candidates targeting PM roles in the Bay Area or at high-growth tech companies nationally, Kel's proximity to the market and his active role at a recognized company makes him an exceptionally relevant and timely resource.
